History of Cp

Made by Micro Nik

Hi-ho! Heres History of Club Penguin and other Club Penguin information!

                                                               The History of Club Penguin

Club Penguin is a multyplayer online chat game where you can “waddle around and meet new freinds”. On Club Penguin, you walk (or waddle) around an island filled with penguins and layerd with snow in an antarctic reigon. The idea of Club Penguin was made by Lance Preibe, a Club Penguin founder, when he was trying to make up games for children. He saw a drawing of penguins working at his desk and thought it would be good for a game. He then wen to his executive, David Krysko (Billybob) and they started planning the game.

                                                                        Experimental Penguins

In the very begging of Club Penguins life, before birth, it was kicking and moving (like all babies do). The very, very first was Experimental Penguins. It was to see if the future Club Penguin would even be popular and to see if they could make the game ( I think this test was unessicary. Club Penguin is and was a hit).

This is a picture when Experimental Penguins was closed for Penguin Chat.

Then Experimental Penguins closed for the making of Penguin Chat. The soon-to-be Club Penguin was now a child.

                                                              Penguin Chat

Club Penguin first started as Penguin Chat in 2005 on a the host sitehttp://www.rocketsnail.com. The soon-to-be Club Penguin was in the middle of its life. It was made by Rocketsnail games. Yes, thats where the name of a Cp moderator Rsnail was from. Back then, Penguin Chat was free. Sadly, the Club Penguin Team never put things onto Club Penguin. The only room on Penguin Chat was the Town.  Of course, the other rooms in the town were there, but the second floors of the Nightclub and Coffe Shop werent there. The Town looked very similar to what it is today exept for minor details. On the bar at the bottom of the screen, there was the Chatbar, Emote button, Snowball button, Actions button, and Change Color button.

There were also no Player Cards in Penguin Chat. There were no clothes and no hand items. If you look in the pictures below, there are No clothes.

The snowballs were different too. Sometimes, when you threw them, you would miss really bad. The Target was different than the Club Penguin one.

Penguin ChatHeres the Penguin Chat loggin screen

Heres the old Town!

There was no way of earning coins back then. There were no minigames. If you went to the Gift Shop, it would transport you to a merchandice page. Like, real life merchandice like keychains and T-shirts. Kinda like the page in the Club Penguin Fun Stuff page.

If you left the town, you would go to a snow covered, baron land. If you kept going, you would see penguins going around in snowcats. And if you left again you woulld see construction penguins drilling. It was basicly a circle. The Boiler Room was there too.

If you went to the right of the Town, you would see a construction field with a crane, and steel bars. If you clicked on the Hook of the crane, you would wear a Hard Hat. You wouldnt get it, you would just wear it. If you pressed D, you would drill (like in Club Penguin). If you went to the middle of the field, you would drive a Snowcat.

Heres a baron field I mentioned.

The Dance Club was very similar. Instead of the Dj Table there was a band that played. The speakers were still there and there were disco balls! There was no green puffle and you clicked the wire of of the bottom right-hand speaker, you would go to the boiler room.

Heres the old Dance Club! I like it better in the picture.

In Penguin Chat, you could be a ninja! They were going to make ninjas in Club Penguin, but they made Secret Agents. There might even be Club Penguin Ninjas. There is lots of proof. go towww.micronik.wordpress.com/cp-ninjas to see more about Club PEnguin ninjas. If you clicked the ‘n’ in ‘Select your New Penguin’, you could be a ninja. If you tried to dance, you would be invisible!

UPDATE:You can become a ninja now as well, if you win enough games of card – jistu

Heres how you could be a ninja!

 Heres the Old Ninjas!

                                                    Club Penguin

After a while, Rocketsnail announced that they would make Club Penguin! Club Penguin was fully alive! Cp was now an adult working hard! Working at its full potential! It took a while, but it was finally made.  In the beginning, there was a Beta Testing Party. The very first party to see if Club Penguin worked ( kinda like the Improvement Project). The Beta Testers got a free Party Hat, a 1 month membership, and 2000 coins. After beta-testing, Club Penguin was officialy opened to the general public on October 24, 2005.

Heres the Beta Hat!

                                                                     Club Penguin and Disney

In the beggining, Club Penguin was under ownership of New Horizon Interactive and The Club Penguin Entertainment Inc. Although, Club Penguin wanted a larger host company to help them make Club Penguin even better. Disney made Club Penguin in different languages so it could be world-wide. Club Penguin then started advertising on its website. On August 1, 2007, Club Penguin announced that it would be partnering up with The Walt Disney Company. Disney offered a deal of $350 million (thats a lot of money!!!). Another $350 million would be added to the origonal $350 million (for a potention of $700 million) if Club Penguin could rake in 700,00 paid subscribers and 12 million registered users.

As you can see, Club Penguin had a full life. A lot of hard work and determination went into the making of Club Penguin.

Connections with Penguin Chat and Club Penguin: There are lots of Penguin Chat-Club Penguin connections. Here are the ones I noticed:

1.The Town and all the rooms in it looked almost the same (except for minor details)

2.You know the bottle in the Lighthouse? The thing in it is a Snowcat

                                                             and

3.The players are penguins!! (duh)

Club Penguin has had multiple events in the year 2009 and 2008. Here are some memories from them.

In December 08 Club Penguin had another coins for change event! They raised 3 billion virtual coins which is nearly all that they wanted! Here is a coins for change post from the whats new blog 07 April 09.

Greetings Penguins!

Many of you have said that you think one of the coolest events in Club Penguin is Coins For Change — when players donate virtual coins in the game to decide where $1 million is donated in the real world. This year, the donations were totally amazing (more than 2.5 million penguins donated more than 3 billion virtual coins!) and we were awed by your spirit of giving.

coinspic.jpg

Your efforts paid off – and we wanted to give you an update. I talked to someone on the team who’s an expert in global citizenship:

What’s the best part of the Coins For Change campaign? Seeing how much penguins around the globe want to make the world a better place!

When have you been the proudest of the Club Penguin community? When they show how much they care for each other and the world around them by giving to something they believe in that will benefit others they don’t even know!

If you could tell the community one thing, what would it be?Every single penguin can make a difference in the world when they come together for a common cause – just look what’s been done this past Coins For Change!

Check out the new video at the Coins for Change page – it shows some of the great things that have happened because of your generosity during the Coins For Change program in Club Penguin. We’re all crazy proud of this community. Hats off (and candy) to all of you.

Until then… Waddle on!

After that a small event happened. Club Penguin released a new book for the  Book Room. It was and still is called The Lime Green Dojo Clean. If you want go and play it.

The first event of the year 2009 was the Dance A thon. It was a member only party but on 1 weekend everybody was aloud in, except only members could play the Dance Contest and go on the roof. Here are a few Images from various events around Club Penguin.

Hope you enjoyed the Blast from the Past. Its good to brush up on your history.
